LeoVince and Team Gresini Podium Once Again
Alex De Angelis gets his first MotoGP podium at Indy
Indianapolis IN, August30- LeoVince Rider Alex De Angelis finished the Indianapolis motoGP in second place making it his first career MotoGP podium.
De Angelis made his statement early at the Brickyard by posting the fastest time in warm-up: 1:40.446. He followed his fastest time with a solid start off the line from his fourth place starting position. De Angelis worked his way up to second place and looked comfortable all the way to the checkers with a commanding lead over third place rider Nicky Hayden. Not only did De Angelis podium, but he was the only rider in the field to break 200 mph!
"It was a very hard for me in the beginning of the season because we have some problems on the bike. But the team has worked it out, and in the last five races I was so competitive and it was better and better every Grand Prix. And now I have this podium but not a bike for the next season."
