LeoVince Riders Ahola and Aubert win 08 Championships
Ahola wins the E1 (250cc) world enduro championship and Aubert wins the E2 (450cc) championship both with 94dB LeoVince exhausts.
Mende, France-LeoVince Rider Mika Ahola of team Honda HM Zanardo wins the coveted E1 class championship during the first day, at the final round of the FIM World Enduro Championship. A thrilling battle from section to section against Ivan Cervante (ESP-KTM) was finally won by a narrow, 97 hundredths of a second by Ahola. This is a special victory for LeoVince as it further proves that LeoVince exhausts can coax every fraction of power out of a 250cc engine while maintaining sound levels below 94dB.
Ahola, a long time veteran of the World Championship from Finland, had this to say about his second championship, “I’m surprised to become world champion already today, but Marc Germain helped me in the last test. I thought it would come tomorrow because the race is really difficult here. I think the fact we were on the podium each race was the key this season. That’s what I learned last year. We don’t have to push to win each day, and sometimes we must be satisfied with second and third place. It also seems that I’m not making the mistakes I did in the past. The older I am, the faster I am.”
Day two brought LeoVince another championship. French veteran Johnny Aubert brought home the E2 450cc championship for team UFO Corse. Riding strong all season and under pressure to finish well in front of his home audience Aubert road a conservative race to lock up the championship with a 3rd place finish on the podium.
